This 1982 Porsche 928S is a 5-speed manual Euro example that was imported from Germany to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1982 by the original owner. The car stayed in the same family in Utah until it was bought by an Evanston, Wyoming man in 2016 who sold the car quickly after purchase due to illness. The selling dealer acquired the 928S four months ago and has refreshed it with a new timing belt, Laso water pump, idlers, and bushings. In addition, the A/C system was serviced and the fluids were changed. The factory 300hp 4.7 liter V8 is said to pull strong, and the gearbox shifts smoothly thanks to a clutch kit that was installed more recently by the first owner. The car comes with service records dating back ten years, the original manuals, toolkit, German first aid kit, and is being sold on a clean Wyoming title.

The car received a high quality repaint in its original Platinum Metallic (655) by the first owner. The finish reportedly shows some small dings  that are difficult to detect in photographs. Euro side markers and the rear fog light were removed at some point, and there is a crack on one of the headlights that does not impact its operation.

Brakes and rotors were replaced by the first owner in Utah before he sold the car, and the stock 16″ alloys wear Falken Ziex tires that were installed in August of 2012.

Inside, the cabin is optioned with full Brown (3NG) leather upholstery including the dash, arm rest, door panels, interior trim panels, center console, and other trim pieces. Although there is a bit of shrinkage on the dash and seats the leather is otherwise said to be soft and supple with no tears or excessive wear. The interior is also optioned with an electronically adjustable passenger seat.

The gauges are working properly, but the cruise control is not working and the electric antenna does not fully retract. A Kenwood head unit has been installed. The Carfax shows a mileage discrepancy, but according to the long time original owner the Utah DMV reported kilometers as not actual mileage. The odometer currently shows 158,506 km (~98k miles) which is believed to be accurate, and the condition of the car is consistent with the indicated mileage.

The Euro S features the higher compression M28/11 4.7 liter V8 engine that produced 300hp when new. The engine and 5-speed  manual transaxle are said to have no issues by the seller, who reports that a new clutch kit was installed by the first owner. Recent work performed in preparation for sale include changing of the oil, coolant, and brake fluid, and the installation of a new timing belt, Laso water pump, idlers, and bushings. Also, the R12 A/C system was serviced, leak tested, and charged and is reported to blow cold. Due to the lack of catalytic converters on this example, it will not pass smog in California and cannot be delivered to a California resident in the state of California.

The seller has provided several photos of the undercarriage that can be seen in the image gallery below.

The original owner’s manuals and maintenance record are included along with the original toolkit, German first aid kit (stored in the passenger seat foot well), road reflector (with German markings), plastic hand mitts, spare tire bag, and spare accessory belts. Service records dating back to 2007 come with the car, as well as records from all of the work performed by the seller.
